(1,648 posts)About four and a half decades ago, I was in the Peruvian Andes listening to too damned long speech when about 40 parrots that looked just like those in the picture. We all turned and watched, including the long winded politician...that seemed like a very long time. Then they were out of sight, but not out of mind...at least five minutes passed before the politician resumed the end of his speech. So thanks for jar and the memories.

I love the expression of the bat sitting in front of the teev nursing his "mosquito bites."
And the color of the birds in both photos are extraordinary! The blue and apricot-colored ones--just stunning. Enjoyed the the birds upstaging the politician story upthread, too.

question everything
(52,134 posts)It is a kid, right?

And that dog ready to lick the baby, we don't want to know what he licked a few minutes earlier, right?

Honestly, I am bothered by the business of breeding animals to miniature size. They are awfully cute, but I think their health and well-being is undermined by the process.
Nevertheless, I can't help squee-ing whenever i see a picture like this. I am only human, after all.
question everything
(52,134 posts)or can no longer afford to care for them.
And then there are the pot belly pigs that end up growing to be .... real pigs.
