Yesterday, I pulled out a mix CD I made a decade or so ago. I segued Jerry Garcia's "Bird Song" into Crosby's "Laughing" (since Jerry played pedal steel on both) and to this day it remains one of the most sublime segues I've ever come up with.
I have a career-spanning appreciation for his music, but for me, this was always his "moment."
