You are so lucky! I would love nothing more than to have a few Labs or Goldens, or even a dog from a shelter. Unfortunately, I can't own a dog where I live. Also, I would need enough money to have a dog walker or send them to doggie day care since I live in a city.

Until recently, my building had a no dog policy. The former board adopted this policy in 2003 and grandfathered in people who already had dogs. I ran into a neighbor last December who lost her lab at 15. She was grieving the loss of her beloved Ricky. I said why don't we run for the board and change the policy? So, we did and we won. We are now a dog-friendly building. I ran into another neighbor who adopted a shelter dog. He told he would vote for me even I raised his maintenance $2K a month.
