I had a wonderful album called "Birth of Blues New Orleans" and Jessie Hill, among others were featured. You could always dance to that music, especially when I was a 14 years old white girl. My Father asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up and I said "Tina Turner" and my mother explained she thought she was a colored girl, to his dismay. Our housekeeper was a wonderful black woman and I loved her so much. She was a wonderful "Mother figure" to me. I miss her so much.

My friend from Baton Rouge sent me the link. I listened to it and the Tina Turner version. Just fun old music.
