Like a candidate (Bernie was on with Larry Wilmore last week) or someone like that.

Then again, when Jon's guest was a major get, s/he would get two whole segments of the show.

Ha ha, get it... we find water on Mars, but black people won't be allowed to go there. Ha ha ha!! Cause we all know how notoriously racist NASA & the federal government are in their hiring practices.

How positively edgy

... I looked him up on youtube and all the ones I saw were race related. Same thing for the bit I saw when he was on the Daily Show with Stewart.

It gets old after a while...

I always felt that they shoehorned Jessica Williams into that role during her segments on the old show. She has more talent than that...

The show has good writers, but I think Jon would have done a better interview with Christie.

it's unfortunate for him that he was appointed right in the middle of a presidential election, but i think in a year he'll have gotten more comfortable with confronting people etc.

He seems too careful behind the desk.

I was hoping for the entire first show he would pretend act like a tyrant, terrorizing the correspondents and staff to the point of crying.

the segment where he compared Trump to African Presidents was very funny and extremely well done

i wish people would allow him a little time to settle in to the role - he is very talented but under a lot of pressure to live up to Jon Stewart

One of his first jokes on his debut was how he always wanted 2 things - his own show and indoor toilets - and he is comfortable with one of them

He is going to do just fine

and I think that rhythm is a bit too quick, too "asking for feedback". He'll get there. First week was quite good.

He's new, he needs to get his style together.
