It's easily treated with antibiotics and rest. But if you wait too long, bad things can happen. I think Jim Henson died of it.

Take the antibiotics *exactly* as prescribed, and get some rest. It's contagious, too --so stay away from work.

I think that is what pushed me over the edge..and not listening to my body...taking my antibiotics and only work I am doing is lifting the lid on my laptop

She broke out in hives one night with virtually no other symptoms. I took her to the dr immediately the next day, she listened to her lungs and diagnosed it. The hives were a reaction to it. She looked really bad; I described it over the phone when I made the appt, but when I brought her in the dr's eyes grew huge. Antibiotics cured it.

don't overdo it. It takes time. You don't want a relapse.

Take care.

It is as sick as I have ever been.

The second time I had a pretty good idea what was happening and got in to see the doctor sooner. Recovery time was shorter as a result.

Do not fool around with this.

Do not take any chances. Do to the doctor, get antibiotics, and rest, rest, rest. Even with all that, it took me three solid weeks in bed to recover.
