Our sone is 9 now and only decided at the last minute to go trick or treating tonight. This could be it. I sure hope not. I hope we have a couple year left, because time marches on. Because once it's over, there's no going back.

My sons are all grown now and it was fun when they got older too and handed out the candy, then watched scary movies with me. The best part was when oldest decided he would carve the jack o lantern, a job I never liked. Ooh, squishy pumpkin guts! You have to fight off the growing up thing as best you can!

She went with three friends and they all dressed up. As long as he has some friends who want to go, he'll o.

3. It could be worse.

He could be a 6'3" teenager with no costume who rings your doorbell some time after 9:00 and holds out his bag without saying a word. I'd rather they quit while they're still cute.
