(41,694 posts)There are two kinds of pain. There's the one that a couple of aspirin will fix. and there's the kind that morphine will fix-everything else in between is psychosomatic bullshit.

(47,675 posts)I jus can' understand why oxycodone would be considered "recreational", or bennies for that matter. They don't provide what I consider a "high".
But hey, some people like deep fried sheeps balls (mountain oysters). Even when i ate meat, that would be int the "too weird to eat" departement

(53,410 posts)It can't hurt and maybe doctors prefer to wait until their patients bring it up for obvious reasons. If you smoke one joint and the pain eases you'll know. If it doesn't ease you'll also know. The effects of pot go away.

(47,675 posts)...trace of THC in my blood I'm shut off from the good stuff. Not an option. So far, he hasn't even asked to test me, but he could at any point. Hell, he has to look stuff up when I mention it because I do my research before going in for appointments.

(10,337 posts)I know, I know, they say not to mix Oxicodone with alchohol. All I can tell you is after a year with rotator cuff surgery, knee replacement surgery, torn ligiments in my back and two broken ribs (in other words, over a year and counting of serious pain) it's the only thing I found that worked.
