Don't you hate having to drive some dumb rental instead of your own car?

The rental company gave me a Corolla to drive. I can live with not having keyless entry but the rental did not have cruise control - I wasn't too happy about that. That was a rather unpleasant surprise for me, I thought cruise was pretty much standard equipment these days.

I suppose if you're renting a luxury model full-sized something, it's different, but I want a small car to begin with.

I do know that Honda does not sell its vehicles to the rental companies.

I usually go small to midsize when renting cars. When I rented last summer for the Great 2015 47of74 Road Trip I got an Altima and when I had problems with that they gave me a Chevy Trax crossover in exchange. I remember one time I rented an HHR for a few days, I was impressed enough that I seriously considered getting one when the time came.

Not a hint of problems with my Abarth (knock on wood), but I have to admit it was my biggest concern going in.

My car was rear ended as I was parked with my brake lights & flashers on. this happened on October 18th, car was supposed to be ready yesterday, ha ha. It wasn't the shop found damage that wasn't addressed by the appraiser, waiting for appraiser to go back out & re write the claim.

I drive for Uber & Lyft, so I'm going on my 4th week of no work & no pay. The insurance company will reimburse my wages but it has to be in one lump sum, so if it's ready this upcoming week (the car) I then can make the claim for 4weeks of lost wages.

Also incurred a concussion and neck injuries.

I hope you weren't hurt.

I was taken to the hospital as a precaution but they didn't find anything seriously wrong and let me go home that night. The belt kept me from going into the steering wheel or up into the windshield but it left me sore for a few days.
