Somebody big is going to die (maybe 2) before the fall break would be my guess.

(56,848 posts)we won't see Negan until the season finale - not the mid season finale. I think we might get Jesus in the midseason finale.

(22,340 posts)I guess I just don't know that I'll be happy if Glenn is alive. If he is, it better be awesome. And if it was a misdirect to then kill another major character, that would classify as good in my book.
The only thing I worry about regarding Glenn and the comic book is (highlight the rest for spoiler) that Maggie becomes the leader that she does for the hilltop because Glenn isn't around. If Glenn lives through this attack and then doesn't get beaned with Lucille, then how are they going to get the awesome Maggie in the books? They have kind of been prepping her for it.

(96,943 posts)I think the timeline would be with Rick back in Alexandria and too far away for the radios to work, but closer to Glenn's spot.
If those 3 had saved Rick, he would know where they were, and they would have gone back with him.
Still not sure Rick got out of the RV though.
I know last week they kept pointedly using Glenn's name when talking about the others not being back yet.

(56,848 posts)I read somewhere that last night's episode coincided with Rick's escape from the RV and run into Alexandria. So,maybe Daryl, Abe and Sasha will be riding to the rescue with the bazooka and fuel truck?
Baitball Blogger
(52,346 posts)However, zombies who are running around in flames just create a fire hazard.
Alexandria may burn to the ground, if they are not careful.
The sewer drains may be a safe place to be while it happens. Assuming they can block off all the air holes where smoke could encroach, and assuming the fires don't get too hot to burn them.
Solly Mack
(96,943 posts)That was a fuel cover wasn't it? With the fuel truck hidden behind tree limbs.

(96,943 posts)I was told there is a photo of Glenn floating about where he is covered in blood and sitting in a corner, across from someone in dark jeans and boots.
Have you heard anything?
NewJeffCT
(56,848 posts)I have heard that we do get resolution to the Glenn cliffhanger next episode, but that's about it
Solly Mack
(96,943 posts)Either way.
Some timeline questions could get answered as well. How did Rick get out? Did someone help him? Who's asking for help? SAD and the fuel truck - was that after helping Rick?
Why would they show Rick back in Alexandria waiting for the others (and he does say the others), if only Glenn was still missing? So, if it's not just Glenn missing then who helped Rick, if anyone?
Abraham talked as if he knew Rick was back at Alexandria, so maybe SAD aided Rick then went about their task. Everything that took place last night was after the fact. (helping Rick)
Questions. Questions. Questions. Assuming the timeline is unknown at this point.

(22,340 posts)Here be spoilers: highlight the rest if you dare It seems pretty clear that the people in the trucks that came for him are the Saviors. They are talking about having to pay for everything and the punishments. You know the blonde guy is going to be punished for his so why not a good old fashioned iron to the face. And he has a "wife" with him to be taken. And you know he's coming back because Darryl ain't done with him, so that will provide the "should we trust him" tension when he comes to them after being disfigured and losing his "wife."
NewJeffCT
(56,848 posts)that the group is The Saviors. Odd timing to run into them now - I liked the comic setup with meeting The Saviors after they get to Hilltop.
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)given that I doubt we are done with the Wolves, but from the lack of showing any faces, my guess is that The Saviors will be a slow burn with the full impact of them coming at the end of the season. We'll get Jesus and the Hilltop first and then pieces will be put together.

(3,843 posts)know the best way to purchase the comics digitally? I'd rather buy bigger volumes than individual comics.
NewJeffCT
(56,848 posts)They do have some large volumes with 50 or so issues combined into one book.
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)Right now they are on issue 148. But here are my suggestions:
comiXology is probably one of the main sites for getting digital copies of comics. I mean, Marvel has their own thing, but that site is a good starting place.
There are compendiums on paper. The 3rd just come out which goes to 144 and, on Amazon, they run about $35 a piece.
If that is still pricey, most library systems carry the trade paperbacks. This site does a nice job of giving the breakdown of which comics are in which collections.
At this point, I'd go the Compendium route. It's cheaper. I mean, if it needs to be digital, you could do that, but it would cost more than the compendiums. Unless you are loaded, there is no way you are going to get all the individual comics (and if you did buy the first one and took it out of its protection and read it, I'd have to come slap you).
Hope that helps. It's worth the read.
NewJeffCT
(56,848 posts)good rundown of the different options. I ended up buying the first compendium when Borders was going out of business (2010?), so I got it for like 75% off the original price. I think I had read the first several stories years earlier, but never actually bought them.
TuxedoKat
(3,843 posts)I'd like to get compendiums in a digital format but those probably aren't available. I just have too many books and magazines around here already! I think it would be great to read the series on a large iPad.
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)Though that may limit your iPad reading dreams. Not sure.
TuxedoKat
(3,843 posts)Actually, it looks like it will work on an iPad. I'll let you know for sure later how it works out.
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)I collect the paper ones, but I have read some of the Marvel stuff digitally and it's actually pretty cool.
