Electronic Greetings Day Save the cost of a stamp and help the environment out by sending electronic greetings rather than paper cards. Electronic Greetings Day is all about sending birthday cards and conversations by email and over the Internet. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/electronic-greetings-day/Square Dancing Day Square Dancing Day exists to celebrate the square dance form of folk dancing, and is a great excuse to get out and Dosey Do. This fun, healthy and simple form of dance with a long history definitely deserves a holiday all of its own, and it has one! https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/square-dancing-day/

However, during my senior year at college they had a bunch of square dancers at the Commons while everyone was eating. I had joined my friends who had just got out of basketball practice and it was just prior to the Commons closed when about a half dozen of the ladies came up to us and drafted us to dance with the group. Considering that the basketball players went to urban or suburban schools, none of them had a clue about how to square dance and I didn't either. Square dancing with 50, 60 and 70 year old women really ruined the good buzz that I had that night.
