SABMiller recalling beer

In Australia;

An Australian beer company owned by SABMiller is recalling more than one million bottles of beer that could contain broken glass.

The recall affects Carlton Dry 355mL bottles with expiration dates of July 19 and 20, 2016. The beers, produced in October by Carlton & United Breweries in Queensland, are also marked with a "3" on the cartons, or a "3A" or "3B" on bottles.

I immediately thought of this;

"Fine, fine, mouse, fine, mouse, rat, fine, syringe, fine, nose, fine...."

but I like a lot of beer in cans. in fact, Guinness from the widget can is way better than from a bottle. On a hot day, a cold can of Yuengling and cheesesteak sandwich is an awesome lunch.

Thanks to breweries like Beavertown (owned by Robert Plant's son Logan) Wild Beer Co and Roosters. There's some stunning unpasteurized, unfiltered canned beer out there right now.

I would totally drink Son of Plant beer. I already had Iron Maiden's beer. You guys invented the widget thingy right? I've had it in Guinness and Boddington's and enjoy the taste.

Would love to try some of those unpasteurized, unfiltered beers

Beavertown are a brewery who are very much beloved of "hipster" types. Fortunately their beer is very good indeed. http://www.beavertownbrewery.co.uk/

As to the Trooper, it's been a big commercial success, but to me it's just an average blonde ale.

and kept the bottle but I don't need any more.

Hipsters here just drink Pabst Blue Ribbon which is fine as it lets me determine who to stand away from at bars.

But they often have them for sale very cheap so I just put it in a bag so nobody thinks I'm a hipster. I'm cheap but not hip lol. PBR is bad beer but there are worse.

My favorite place to see a concert right now has 2 for 1 beers on show nights and they have Left Hand brewery Milk Stout on draft. That's a great deal!

The hipster scene is pretty much synonymous with the "craft" beer scene. It says something that the biggest hipsters I know are all brewers.

Brewdog bars are an obvious example of this.

But the bad thing is I can't find that beer anywhere. I might go put on Aftershock right now.

More often than not they aren't that great. There's loads of beers better than The Trooper, and the beers Thornbridge have done with Reverend And The Makers haven't been anywhere the standard you'd expect from Thornbridge.

Holy Grail

Great Idea but lousy beer. But I kept that bottle too. I'll find me a Motörhead beer somewhere - I heart Lemmy.

Pay a few extra bucks for a quality beer, you won't have to worry about broken glass!
