Green lentils, onions, garlic, cumin. Google it for the recipe. Wonderful lebanese food.

I made a whole batch last night. You can eat it on rice with sour cream if you want to make it a whole meal. I know what I'm cooking for my dad come boxing day. I think I'll add tomatoes.

1. I could eat Lebanese food for weeks on end and never get tired of it

A decades-long friend of our was of Lebanese origin, and she was treated like royalty at her local Lebanese restaurant in Washington, DC, where she lived (born in Kentucky, grew up in Detroit). She passed away 2 years ago (almost 93!), but there is a small, fabulous Lebanese restaurant right around the corner from my office in Paris, and I'm there once a week. Because of our friend Helen in DC, I always know what to order.

out place in a mall in Halifax. I had it when I worked for a Lebanese restaurant there too. Never found it in Ottawa. So I decided to make it for myself. It does not disappoint. Thought I will carmelize the onions better the next time I make it and use fresh garlic.

You wouldn't believe the decrease in vampire attacks around here since we've increased our use of it.

Tastes pretty good, too.

The Ottman Empire or the Turks ruled most of Arabia for 600 years. The Turks had a tremendous impact on all those cultures.
I got this from a friend who widely traveled all of the Middle East in the 80's before all this Isis nonsense.
