I made a whole batch last night. You can eat it on rice with sour cream if you want to make it a whole meal. I know what I'm cooking for my dad come boxing day. I think I'll add tomatoes.

(54,379 posts)A decades-long friend of our was of Lebanese origin, and she was treated like royalty at her local Lebanese restaurant in Washington, DC, where she lived (born in Kentucky, grew up in Detroit). She passed away 2 years ago (almost 93!), but there is a small, fabulous Lebanese restaurant right around the corner from my office in Paris, and I'm there once a week. Because of our friend Helen in DC, I always know what to order.
