I want to be a walking clothing museum

I am buying all my new clothes pre owned

It is the way to go

There is lots of clothing out there that has been pre owned

Why sell yourself short?

Get that bowling shirt you LOVE for under $3

Be who you want to be, unconstrained by 'fashion dictates.'

If you want to wear Marmot Fleeces and good Jeans, the option is there.

Just don't buy new.

There is no need to.

When boys finally leave the nest, they leave all their belongings at mom's house.

I had a closet full before I retired. I'm a slacks and sweaters kinda gal. My first chore on the first day I didn't go to work was to clean out my closet, keeping only the most basic items and donating the rest. I gave away 18 pairs of dress pants, couldn't tell you how many sweaters and most of my shoes. The basics I've kept are good for casual and with a dazzling rhinestone pin, good for dress-up. Most are over 10 years old. Unless the underwear becomes shoddy, I don't see shopping in my future at all.
