Anyone here from the Garland/Rowlett TX area?

I just now heard about the devastating tornado that hit there last night. I lived in both areas for 13 years and made a lot of friends there. Just talked to my girlfriend in Garland and she was at her daughter's house north of the affected area, so was safe. Some others I haven't talked to since moving away five years ago.

A hell of a thing to have happen on Christmas weekend. At least 10 killed in Garland and over a hundred homes and quite a few businesses destroyed in Rowlett. I'm simply numb.

She did say that one of the tornadoes was heading right straight at them, but then dissolved.

We've been trying to get a hold of them, but I suspect the cellular networks are down.
