Here, our earliest sunset is 3:58 pm and occurs around Dec 11.

ps. Only out of power for 14.5 hrs last night due to the ice storm. Could have been much, much worse, indeed.

But not this year. Today was our first measurable snowfall and it has actually been warm. The long dark days really get to me though and every extra minute of daylight is a blessing.

But the shortest day all in all is always Dec 21.

is comforting. It doesn't start getting warm here until early April. As soon as the Cherry Blossoms come out on the trees, then we know it's Spring.
