I love the way he always headed out the door after questioning a suspect, then stopped, came back in and asked a key question.

Loved the way Columbo played with the suspect, his rumpled coat, crummy car, cigar, . . . . . .

I have his same fashion sense in clothing and automobiles, and bad guys find me just as annoying.

One thing I learned from watching it was that the "suspect" who seems the most helpful is the guilty one!

As much as I wish to see it revisited, I think Columbo died with Falk and we have to accept that.

and I've been watching it lately on a vintage TV show channel. The series has aged pretty well; Falk was a very talented actor.

My favorite episode: the one with Donald Pleasance as the wine connoisseur/murderer.

He was the polar opposite, neat freak, OCD, Bay area, etc. but with the same dogged detective style.

But think I loved The Rockford Files more. Just binge-watched both on Netflix late last year.
