The Maid Wants a Raise

A maid asks the wife who employs her for a pay raise.
The wife becomes very angry about this but decides to talk to the maid about her request.
"Why do you think you deserve a raise?" she asks.
The maid replies:."Madam, there are three reasons why I deserve a raise.
The first reason is that I do ironing better than you."
The wife replies: "Who said you do ironing better than me?"
The maid replies: "Your husband, that's who."
The wife replies: "Oh, yeah?"
The maid goes on: "The second reason is that I'm a better cook than you."
The wife replies: "That's a lie..Who said you're a better cook than me?"
The maid replies: "Your husband, that's who."
The wife, becoming increasingly agitated, replies: "Oh he did, did he?"
The maid goes on: "The third reason is that I'm better in bed than you are."
The wife is really boiling now and through clenched teeth replies: "And did my husband say that as well?"
The maid replies: "No madam. The gardener did."
