She didn't seem to mind that her feathers were burning and feet must have been hot as hell.

(24,726 posts)The chef (me) grabbed the still-alive chicken and threw it about ten feet. It was a very hot chicken, but still alive, and went off looking for things on the ground to eat.

(21,288 posts)I had a friend that kept chickens. If she found a cracked egg in the straw, she'd toss it on the ground. The chickens would chow down.

Ten years ago, different set of parrots sharing the same home, 4 out of 4 ate chicken but didn't care for turkey.
