1. As an owner of a highly intelligent Aussie/Border collie mix, I say...

kudos! That' a great dog (and given the opportunity to strut their stuff, they will amaze you). But not a breed for couch potatoes!

2. Couldn't agree more! I feel so bad whenever I see them being walked like posh pets

and on a leash. I see the desperation in their eyes... But nothing brings me greater joy than seeing them working as hard as they can, especially when they're born to do a job like this!
