We have 4 cats. I can totally relate. Lightning fast reflexes.

One of ours is now stone deaf and doesn't even twitch an ear if we run the vacuum near her while she's asleep. She used to react like that to any little noise. She is a much happier, calmer cat now that she can't hear.
