This woman, who ordered a figure-hugging teddy, shared hilarious images of her wearing an ill-fitting onesie

(72,790 posts)I am a 5-foot-2,3 male and nothing ever fits. I need to try it on in person. For this reason, I never order clothes on-line. Plus, I dislike returning things.

(10,989 posts)Just found this fantastic deal on Amazon - 5 Hippy printed wrap around silky skirts shipped from India for only $32.00. Only problem you can't choose the patterns or colors - I loved 4 of the 5. It was such a good deal, I ordered 5 more.
I know what brand of shoes I like and the sizes in different styles, so I watch for the markdowns and often get my shoes 1/2 price.
I live way out in the country so I order a lot of stuff I need online - it's getting bad when you start ordering your toothpaste online.

(20,234 posts)I can see myself wearing the onesie around the house - but no way would I want the wedge-o-matic version of it!
I've ordered a couple cheap clothing things online, I guess I got lucky. I got a pair of fleece lined bicycle leggings (with the bike padding) that I love - and they were different than advertised - but way better. I ordered plain black and the ones I got have reflective stripes up the legs, much more visible. I love them.

(14,691 posts)with no problem. It helps to have a brand you know is compatible with your feet. Also, check out ahead of time what the company's shipping policies are. Some ship free and offer free returns (e.g., Zappos) and some you have to pay both ways. Others have free shipping specials sometimes. I've also ordered clothes that were usually ok. If I have to pay to send them back though that's a deal breaker.
Another drawback of ordering on line is the color shown in the photo. For instance, I wanted a hat in a shade of blue that the company called "denim blue" but it was really dark blue.
I also once purchased furniture that I was SURE would match the rest of the wood furniture in the bedroom. In reality it was several shades lighter. It was a special order so it was mine to keep. Oh well...

(21,204 posts)or Macy's, that way if I don't like it I can just take it back to the store. With shoes I generally know what size I wear with a certain vendor. The same goes with undies. But I got burned twice - two different vendors - on items that shipped straight from Asia. Never again.
