The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsFeeling bored and depressed. Anyone care to try and cheer me up?
Or just talk?
I did about three hours of paperwork at the clinic today (on my vacation; I've gone crazy, but it's the only way to get the pile of papers down a little without interruption), and received no notifications of any patient deaths. So that's good. It was pretty awful a few months ago.
Anyway, I could use some company...
If it helps, I'm sober...

(29,414 posts)Although my activity in the Lounge has been a bit more lately. GD is also unreadable right now, unless you want to read thread after thread about Prince.
Thankfully, with the flooding, I live in a higher part of the local flood plain. I think I'm almost literally halfway between two major bayous here (Braes and Sims.) The street floods in any really heavy rain, but the apartments here are a little higher than the surrounding houses. Now, if we did get the same amount of rain that they got in Cypress Creek, yeah, then the first floor apartments would likely flood.
Thanks for asking

(36,851 posts)We're down to the final 4 for This Be Madness, our bracket search for Shakespeare's greatest play. Each day from April 18 - April 22, we're posting Twitter polls with rounds of matchups for you to vote on until we find our champion. Then on April 23, which is the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, we will reveal our grand winner.
Round 3 knocked out some big shows, including the beloved King Lear and Midsummer Night's Dream. And Round 4 looks like it won't be any less difficult. The matchups include one that pits two iconic plays against each other: Othello and Hamlet.
