(914 posts)O.k. I tried it and was lucky enough to get out of it without too much hassle. It nearly destroyed all my setups and I could see not one advantage of going there. Beware should you decide to go that route.

(983 posts)It has equivalent programs to Windows, and none of the malware.
The setup is pretty much automatic or step by step from a DVD.
And it can be downloaded for free.

(68,449 posts)Since I am severely hearing impaired, I never heard the eprinter running, so I had no idea how it was happening, what weird glitch could be causing it.
Then one morning I just happened to wake up in time to see one of my cats repeatedly pressing the print button, wearing a look of intense concentration, like a researcher testing her most fascinating hypothesis. Honestly, it was so cute I never did anything to prevent her early morning research activities.
This pic reminded me of her. (She died in 2005 at age 19.)

(19,918 posts)I was laying in bed and thought I heard the toilet flushing. I crawled out of bed and say my Moma cat pushing the flush lever when whenever the water stopped moving. So I shut the bathroom door and after a bit I heard it start again. I have bi-fold doors on the bathroom. So she learned how to do that also. So until I could get a hasp for the door, I just turned the water off to the toilet.
I learned a few years ago to leave the printers turned off and the tv remotes in a drawer. I also had to put a brick in front of the fridge door for a while.

Here's my contribution:

and SCE, we love Windows 10 at our house. One feature I really like is that it underlines the icons in your tray of the open programs. Thanks for all the hilarious cat-toons. Miss the owl, though.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
