was going to post last night and ask for good wishes for my colonoscopy this morning

but I had started drinking the juice and you can guess what happened.

It was hard to get a sentence in between swigs of juice and the closely following trip to the toilet.

So I am back, recovered and according to the test clean as a whistle. I was in and out so fast my ride didn't even have time for his planned breakfast.

Now a day of R&R

I must have been a good boy - I went in at 8 and was back in my room by 8:30 - scheduled to be back at 9:15 - 9:30.
My brother and driver didn't even have time to go down for breakfast before they called him. Was supposed to be home @ 11 but was home by 9:30.

Tried for a little humor before we started - when the nurse asked me once more (safety question I know) why we were here I looked at her and said "O my God - don't you know?" She answered "don't forget what I am about to do" - I guess meaning I will be shoving this thing up your rear - then she laughed pretty good.

The really odd thing was that when I got home I wasn't hungry or thirsty after two days without food and the induced diarrhea. Waited til noon to eat.

After mine I had some tea and toast when I got home and it didn't go well at all. I think I still had some of whatever they used for anesthesia in my system.

I have to go in again next January because they took out 5 polyps. One of the sites decided to bleed after they finished and I spent a couple days in the hospital after going back later in the day. According to a couple different docs, I lost 25-40% of my blood volume- recorded a 76 over 59 Blood Pressure, which is way low for me. It healed on its own, they did run in 4 liters of saline and one unit of whole blood. Good thing I have decent insurance, the bill for the extra curriculars was over $16K.
