Disney World Staffers Share The Dark Secrets You're Not Supposed to Know About Working in the Parks

https://www.yahoo.com/beauty/disney-world-staffers-share-dark-225731043.html

They say Disney World is the happiest place on earth, and frankly, it sure seems that way once the kids are napping and you're nursing a wine slushie over in faux France. And as happy as the theme parks make us mere civilians, it turns out, it's (mostly) a pretty swell place to work too, according to some Disney staff members who anonymously shared secrets about their work lives on the app Whisper.

Their confessions, gathered by the Daily Mail, are mostly as sickly sweet as said slushie, but a few are downright scandalous....

Another added that the guests can be so downright mean (hey, hanger + too much sun + lines + cranky kids = angst, okay?) that apparently "have a magical day' is mouse for "go f--k yourself."

One even confessed, "Every day before my shift I drink liquor to help make me more cheerful for the children." Something tells me this is not standard operating procedure over at Disney, but, umm, as long as the kids are happy?

By the way, Disneyland is the happiest place on earth.

I know a lot of people that work there. I have heard some interesting stories about what goes on behind the scenes.

is the so-called "Night of Joy," which was a night that the park is open primarily for Christian groups and churches.

I worked in security. We had more shop-lifting, drug use, fights, you-name-it on the Nights of Joy.

I spent a summer as a night auditor at a big hotel and we had 2 xtian conventions come through.

I thought the porn numbers looked pretty high so after the second one, which also was high, I ran the numbers through a spreadsheet and found we did more than 20% better on porn sales averaged over both xtian conventions.

I showed my boss, the GM. He laughed, thanked me for confirming what he always thought and told me to delete the file.
