I really like listening to intelligent people talk about their books, politics and things going on in the world.
It sure beats the Talking Heads on the 'news' channels ranting and screaming at each other for a paycheck.

India's Partition by Nisid Hajari. He was on BookTV last weekend. It's a well-written, well-researched book.

but we cut the cord 6 or 7 years ago. I'm glad they still have it, though.

I still watch Book TV occasionally, depending on who is talking. I agree, it is superior to all of the "news/talk" channels on cable.
