A new set of stamps is being issued to honour Pink Floyd, featuring some of the bands best known album covers.
The 10 stamps will mark 50 years since the group turned professional, and will include album covers such as The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.
Some of the stamps will celebrate the bands live performances, which broke new ground with extensive use of lights and film projections. The images will portray Pink Floyds psychedelic light shows and the staging of their The Wall album.

(2,646 posts)1. Well, it just so happens
that I am sitting here listening to the Atom Heart Mother album via headphones while browsing thru DU.
Pink Floyd is, as far as I am concerned, the greatest rock band ever.

... when it first came out. I'm curious to know what, if any, unexpected sensations you felt listening to the end of the last cut.

Why are the stamps so expensive? £1 to £1.52? Are they for overseas delivery?
muriel_volestrangler
(101,265 posts)13. 1st Class and £1.52
Mind you, 1st class costs 64p these days. £1.52 is for a 20-100g letter to Europe.
