Mountain Jam 2016 to Stream Live Webcast (with Train performing complete "Led Zeppelin II")

Mountain Jam 2016 to Stream Live Webcast

Want to take in this year’s Mountain Jam festival, but you can’t make the trek to upstate New York for the event? Now you can watch the whole thing from home.

Mountain Jam 2016 will be webcast courtesy of Tourpedo, where single-day and all-festival passes are now on sale and available through a pay-what-you-want pricing structure. Proceeds benefit the Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting non-profits and those in need throughout the Hudson Valley.

As previously reported, this year’s Mountain Jam lineup is led by appearances from Gov’t Mule, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Beck, and includes sets by a long list of acts that includes Wilco, the Avett Brothers and Umphreys McGee as well as Brandi Carlile, Gary Clark, Jr., Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jason Isbell, Courtney Barnett and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats, among many others. You can check out the complete schedule at the Mountain Jam website.

Of particular interest to classic rock fans at this year’s festival is a complete performance of Led Zeppelin II courtesy of Train, who also recorded their version of the classic LP and will arrive at Mountain Jam shortly after the record arrives in stores. As frontman Pat Monahan told Ultimate Classic Rock, his Zep bona fides go back to his bar band days. “I was in a cover band that did three sets a night, and then the last set was the Zeppelin set,” he recalled. “That’s when everybody would show up to see us, and we never got it through our thick heads that maybe we should just do all Led Zeppelin and then they could have shown up earlier.”

Actually, to be more accurate, since Dickey Betts' "Pattern disruptive" album in 1988, which featured Warren and future Mule drummer Matt Abts.

This, of course, led to "Seven Turns" and the complete revitalization of the Allman Brothers Band.
