1. Beat you to the punch, hugged my cat earlier tonight

And it's not always easy, found him as a tiny kitten in a grocery store parking lot over a year ago and he was never a cuddly kitten. But he really has come around, loves having his ears rubbed now and will cuddle up next to me on the couch - when he feels like it. And he has grown into quite a beautiful cat...

2. Off to a good day of celebrating it seems.

I'm not a cat person, never have been (no pets here with allergies with which to contend), but I know many are and hope you and they enjoy the pets and the day.

Happy that you could rescue the little rascal! I know he has a good home!

3. I'm a dog person from way back since I grew up with a cocker spaniel

But I've also had 4 cats in my life. My guys seem to find me. And I'm also allergic to cats, though I think I've become less sensitive in recent years. I found out from my vet that long and short haired cats have different dander and apparently long haired cats don't bother me as much. Fortunately, that's what Felix turned out to be, though all I could see of him at night in that parking lot were his eyes. He was initially opposed to coming home with me. It took an employee from the store and his wife who came to pick him up to catch the little guy and put him in the carrier, don't know how I would have managed without them...

4. I really don't like cats

I am allergic to them. Plus, I think most are creeps.
