inches of squeezed out ginger in. Most important that you have more than enough mint to balance with the whole lemon (ends cut off but skin and pulp included). Then add cold water. I feel great for the rest of the day. My body thanks me. And if you make a full mixer of it you can keep the extra in the fridge for the next days. It is better cold. So i would use ice if you have it.

7. The store I go to has several different seasonings in tubes

On a shelf in the produce area they have garlic, ginger, mint, basil and more. They are really handy to have a fresher flavor than dried but without the hassle of having to keep fresh herbs and seasonings on hand.

So far I've only used the garlic and ginger. A tube of the garlic stayed good for a very long time so while it is expensive, it is relatively practical.

10. Enjoying a 16 oz. glass of homemade Gatorade over ice

Homemade Gatorade

1 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Place in a pint mason jar and stir to combine (the lemon juice and baking soda will react, so stir it down), keep concentrate in the fridge. This can be added to 1 gallon of water, or add 1-2 tablespoons to each 8 ounces (1 cup) of water.

So I reblended it with more mint and it was fine. I feel really good for hours-days after. It was 5 or 6 very long stems of mint and leaves (stems left on), 1 lemon (ends cut off, rind and pulp and seeds left in/on, cut into four slices) and 2 inches of ginger paste. Maybe start off with half a lemon at first and see how you like it. Don't know how much fresh ginger that would be. I have a blendtec blender that mashes then juices things well. Don't know if you'll have to chop things smaller if you don't have a fancy blender. Stevia to taste. The person who gave me the recipe uses honey to sweeten a bit. Then add water till your blender is half full. It's not so much a flavoured drink as it is a cleansing one. Both times I made it I had lots left over for the next days. It is better cold in a containor that you can shake up the next day. I looked up mint and it is good for your digestion. And I just feel great. Because it is watery and swamplike in consistantcy, it doesn't pack on the pounds like smoothies made with yogurt or milk.

13. Sounds great. I have a Ninja but I think it will work equally as well as you blendtec.

I stayed at a hotel once and in the lobby they had a huge water pitcher type thingy full of water, strawberries, sliced cucumber, sliced watermelon and lots and lots of mint leaves. It was so refreshing.
