What kind of bird is that near the end, the one with the orange blockings and white and black markings next to the red leaves?

(5,209 posts)But I only have two. I love when they rub and leave their scents on me. The jumping on the counter can be annoying (one of them knocked over and broke a glass just yesterday), but having seen a cheetah do it now, it's all in perspective, right?

(8,175 posts)Just a trickle. But they want running water, not out of a bowl.
It gets old real fast to be getting up and down all day just for the cats...turn it on for them, turn it off to save water...turn i...you get the picture. All day long.
My deaf girl sits in front of the faucet crying until I come to turn it on. She can't hear me approaching, but has learned to watch for my reflection in the window.

all cats love fresh, running, oxygenated water (which I had to explain to a friend who could not figure out why his table-top fountain was always running out of water!)
passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)Will have to check that out. I have been looking for a kitty fountain, but many of the more affordable ones are plastic and I won't use plastic for food or water for my critters. Plis figuring out where to put it so the dogs can't drink it all up and kill the motor is a problem too. Something up by the kitchen sink might solve that. Thanks!

(8,175 posts)Although running water is still aerated and the cats would probably like it just as much. Yes, I've seen some attractive little rock fountains for indoors. I'll have to check that out. It would depend on the materials it's made out of...nothing toxic to the cats. It would be a lot more attractive than the faucet attachment I saw that is motion sensor operated. It's kind of ugly and the only two faucets I have inside are my kitchen faucet (wouldn't want it there) and my tub (wouldn't work there).
I'd like the sound of a bubbling fountain in the house. My biggest concern would be attracting tree frogs inside again this summer. Last summer my tree frog Esi took up residence inside for six months, and she would have loved a fountain like that. This past week I found an itsy bitsy baby tree frog on top of my dryer...don't know how long it was inside. I put it back outside. I should have taken a picture of it...no bigger than my index finger nail...cutest little thing, but I really don't want another house frog if I can help it. I'm hoping this was a baby of Esi's. I put her out in February and I'm sure she mated and laid eggs somewhere.
Thank you for the idea. I think that one is a keeper.

-- tiger scratching post
-- the four owls
-- white mama cat & her adorable sleeping kitten
Have a great week, mi amgo!

But there are too many great ones to acknowledge each separately.
