Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHere is my confession
Every now and then, I eat at McDonalds. I usually order a happy meal for myself even though I'm quite definitely an adult. Happy Meals have just what I want. I can get a hamburger, very small amount of fries, apple slices and a chocolate milk. I still feel a little silly getting it even though it looks like I'm just buying it for my nonexistent kid.
Anyone else want to confess anything?

hungry.
But not something I want to repeat anytime soon.

(12,132 posts)since I moved away from Texas 35 years ago, I have no JitB near me. I've had it maybe 3 times since then while visiting other states.
Back when I lived in Texas my high school bus stop was in front of a Jack in the Box. I had a breakfast Jack and a super taco almost every day for breakfast. I've found out in my visits to other states they no longer have the super taco but now they have 2 small tacos that taste exactly the same so it's fine with me. I just wish they'd open a franchise in Orlando. I wrote and asked the clown if he would but he just said they'd be happy for me to open a franchise in Orlando. I'm like "eff that...I just want a damn super taco - I ain't tryna work."
Aaaaanyway..my wife buys happy meals all the time. Especially if she wants the toy. Sometimes she just buys the toy. If it's Minions she'll get all of them.

(10,418 posts)That is truly a confession of sin.
All kidding aside, my step-father bought an Air Supply album back in the 80s when they were popular, and I think he listened to it for a decade. I can only remember him listening to three albums when I was growing up. The Bee Gees, Waylon Jennings, and Air Supply. He didn't even check out different albums from the same groups. Just those three albums.
That's funny!
I have wide range in my taste of music. I enjoy, and appreciate pretty much everything.

(12,132 posts)I've seen Air Supply live. I worked at Six Flags over Texas in the early 80s. Saw a lot of free shows when they had concerts there. Joan Jett (She was totally awesome and so were her Blackhearts), Eddie Rabbit, Wall of Voodoo, Rossington-Collins Band, Spyro Gyra, Rupert Holmes (Escape, the Piña Colada song)...and Air Supply. I could pass it off as "hey they were playing in the parking lot as I walked by on my way home after work..." but I confess I stayed and watched the whole thing.

(27,813 posts)I have probably watched "Aliens" more than 50 times - and the same with "School of Rock". I've watched "The Wedding Singer", "Moonstruck", and the original "Jurassic Park"at least 30 times each. When it comes to my "addictive movies", it's actually quite an embarrassingly extensive list.
Despite owning copies of all of the above, if one of them is airing on TV (for the zillionth time) at 3 a.m., I will sit there and watch it again.
I always tell myself that there's someone out there who is seeing this movie the VERY first time, and I am enjoying their experience with them.

(25,380 posts)Years ago my husband bought a big flat-screen TV and we're STILL too stupid to figure out how to record things. It used to be easy with videos: insert a video cassette, press "play" and that's it. I have an old cell phone but don't use it because if I'm outside where it's noisy I can't hear it ringing and nobody has any reason to tell me anything important anyway. I've bought kitchen gadgets like pasta makers, salad spinners, fancy vegetable slicers, food processors; they remain on the shelf. The husband has a new iphone and in the morning the alarm keeps going off when he's out of hearing distance. I pick it up and run to him saying, "Make the small machine stop crying."
As far as computer machines are concerned, I still don't know how to cut and paste. I am an idiot!

(28,394 posts)I bought a fancy food processor a number of years ago because I always wanted one. Well.... it came with a VHS tape to show you how to use it. Since I no longer have a VCR, I can't watch the video, so I now never use it! It is so darn complicated, even assembling it, that I just gave up and use a knife.
I also don't have/ don't want an iPhone. My old fashioned cell phone is fine for as much as I use it. I leave it in the car for emergencies.

(3,275 posts)I know a very smart man with two Phds who has travelled all over the world many times. He can't figure out how to check his voicemail. If someone calls him and he doesn't answer, they just have to try again. I knew another partner in a law firm who graduated from an ivy league college who couldn't copy and paste words.
