Ever since I hit about 40 I've noticed that I have more random pain in general, but it usually goes away quickly. I might have a pain in my ankle for a few days that I think is going to have to get checked out, then it goes away. I get a lot of stuff like that. The only recurring pain that I have that I think is with me to stay is in my lower back. I've been a trucker for a long time and I think it has taken a toll on that area of my body. The pain is not with me constantly, but usually after I've spent about 8 hours behind the wheel. It goes away after a little bit, but will be back the next time.

(1,728 posts)I have dislocated my shoulder and torn my rotator cuff after falling off of a flat bed. I have a herniated disc L5. Don't really know how that happened. And after the accident a few months ago I have severe damage to my left optic nerve. And I dislocated my left knee.
Trucking is so much fun.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
