I've got my first date in 24 years tomorrow night...............

I've been single all these years & haven't had one date. I have 3 brothers who I have asked to set me up with any of their friends. They don't. I have one sister-in-law who has told me that I'm too smart. Her insinuation was that men don't like smart women. I've mostly worked with men who were attached & even though I was tempted, I don't crap where I eat.

I'm in an organization with this man, and he was just widowed 6 weeks ago. He called the other day & we're going to a concert at one of the county parks.

I will let you know how it goes.

62 in a couple weeks, single for the last 2 years.
dating someone who is a lot of fun, but i dont see a future w him.
will prolly keep that up until someone else comes along.

need a good bleeding heart liberal who likes chickens and other critters, and also like to pull weeds. and cook.

best of luck. he must be a decent person to reach out in a painful time. shows good emotional balance.

He's probably still dealing with the death of his spouse, but I am sure he'll enjoy the company and the opportunity to talk about something OTHER than that.

Who knows what the future will bring?

Hope you have a nice time! Will you bring a picnic--is that allowed?

however every Friday my younger brother comes over does my 86 year old mom's laundry & stays for dinner. So I will not be hungry, but I think you can bring in your own beverages. Which I might do.

It's such that you bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the festivities. The entertainment is Bachman of Bachman Turner Overdrive and Guess Who.

This will be like 1974-75 when the girl two room down the hall in the dorm blasted BTO 24/7.

the beach or a lake. At this time of year, I enjoy going to drive ins or having "movies under the stars" at parks or in the backyard.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

and allow him to be his own self.

6 weeks is a short time so don't expect miracles.

Have fun.

It's challenging.

I just turned 50 so I recognize most the people I date are probably divorcees with children and even grandchildren. I have none of those. While I appreciate someone who wants to brag about their kids/grandkids, the last thing I want to do is spend an entire evening listening to kids/grandkids stories. I know I'm 50 but I also still go to Rock Concerts, hang out at local hip events with my friends (ages 23-65) and enjoy craft beer. I also don't look 50 either.

I've had some success, found one very decent candidate but he lives out of state. But I figured you can't find the right guy if you don't go out there and go on alot of bad dates.
