My youngest graduated high school in June.

We're having the party tomorrow.

Then she'll be off to college in a month.

Feeling sentimental.

It's for her. Being an empty nester is going to be a bitter sweet transition for me.

I guess I like my kids.

When the older one left, I really missed just talking to him about all the everyday happenings in the world. But I had the younger one at home and got to know him on a different level...which helped. Then he left the next year and it was really weird. The house was just plain quiet. And everything stayed where I left it. And my husband was around on the weekends and we made plans to do stuff together. It was just weird.

I've heard girls keep in touch a little more when they leave. Let me know how it goes.
