Rachel Maddow Demands Rewrite of "Casablanca" Script

MSNBC personality Rachel Maddow is demanding that the script for the movie "Casablanca" be rewritten, and that its famous penultimate scene should be reshot.

"Rick calling Ilsa a "kid" is demeaning. She is a young married woman, not a young goat. 'Here's looking at you, kid' reduces the character of Ilsa to not much more than a piece of livestock being sold at an auction."

Maddow had no suggestions for the rewrite itself. She immediately moved on to another Hollywood outrage that involved Rhett Butler's dissing of his wife through the use of the words "my dear," followed by his saying that he didn't "give a damn" what happened to her.
