Well, one could ask, but one shouldn't expect an intelligible answer from an infant. Thor_MN Aug 2016 #13

but not by much. We knew they must be working because she kept lifting them up and down off her eyes and exclaiming "Big mommy, yittle mommy, big mommy, yittle mommy..." Mommy was keen on only half of that.

By seeing how much correction is needed to get the retina in focus, you know how much correction is needed to get the world in focus on the retina. The challenge, of course, is getting the baby to sit still and look at the same spot long enough.

With an infant, you can't ask if 1 or 2 is better.

Got my first pair when I was 7. They didn't help my social life - I looked like a dork - but suddenly being able to see clearly was awesome.

We went to the grocery store after the optometrist; I clearly remember walking around the aisles taking them off and putting them back on repeatedly, marveling at how clear everything had suddenly become. I understood via discussion that I had bad eyesight, but that moment when I went from half-blind to 20/20 was amazing and so much more than I was capable of anticipating.
