Please, don't.

I was accepted into 7th grade choir on the basis of my audition performing that song. It was a new song then.

then my voice changed. They let me stay in choir in 8th grade out of pity and past performance but I was relegated to the back row and never selected for solos or anything else where people might hear me. They did let me accompany on bongos for a few songs.

That's cool that they let you play the bongos.

I still remember all the songs we sang in choir and I still sing them sometimes.

This was a public Jr High but our 2 music teachers were pretty religious so we got a lot of church music. We actually won a few competitions while I was there in the DFW area. Best part was getting out of class to go to competitions.

Morning has Broken (obviously before he converted - we wouldn't have done his songs had the teachers known that was coming lol), Trampin',
we did a pretty bangin' Gloria in Excelsis Deo

but having my voice change got me a part in 8th grade production of Bye Bye Birdie. I was a hilarious Harvey Johnson.
