our guide always made a point in telling the group

"China eats everything but panda"

Seeing first hand the open market varieties on hand, REALLY opened my eyes!!!

in South Korea. I don't know if it is still the same now, but back in the 80s there were carcasses of all different kinds of animals; I was hard-pressed to identify any of them. And flies? everywhere. I couldn't understand how it could be healthy - to say the least.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger - or something...
