Because.

Imagine how hard it'd be to decipher from a distance.
Asking for a friend.

(66,369 posts)I know I had a hard time deciphering it just now. I thought it was BB8 - 8D8, which could be interpreted as a Star Wars reference.
Tell your friend to go for it...

(39,343 posts)My friend was a huge Trekkie and I used to love to conflate Wars and Trek into one community. Pissed him off more than HanSolo getting a Vulcan nerve pinch.

(66,369 posts)I've got a prior commitment starting at 7 PDT.
Trump is a not-very-bright, not-very-well-educated narcissist who has never has anyone tell him 'no' in any substantive discussion. He has had everything handed to him on a silver platter his whole life, so he has no idea how to make an effort in anything. He's not curious enough to study anything, much less important issues. And he is pathologically incapable of accepting that people will disagree with him.
Because he started out in life with a $200 million-dollar grubstake, he thinks he only has to show up and say the right thing in order to get what he wants. What he wants is as changeable as any overstimulated four year-old (witness his multiple marriages and uncounted affairs), and he's just cunning enough to know that outrage gets more attention than finely-honed rationality.
I don't think he wants the job of President. He wants the mention in the history books. He wants to be up there which such icons of Presidential gravitas as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. He knows that as it stands now, he'll be a pop cultural footnote after he's gone; mentioned as part of the squalid culture of reality TV and trashy, vulgar corporate figures.
I don't truly believe he thought he'd ever get this far. I think probably 95% of the outrageous things he says are an effort to get out of the election without having to quit. I think he wants some Federal judge or election watchdog to pull the plug so he can act like a victim.

(66,369 posts)I love 'em. It's raining right now, and I'm loving being "closed in", so to speak. I don't have anywhere to be today, so I can relax and watch the rain outside my window.

(1,975 posts)Did you ever have to kill anyone?
I crewed a tank in the Gulf in 1991. If my unit had been put into combat, then probably. Tank-to-tank slugging matches are a pretty impersonal way to kill people. If I had had to do it, I don't know how I would have felt.
