My coworker got a dog & made me scroll through 2 dozen pics on her phone

Then she emailed our whole team with an additional dozen pictures and solicited comments from us: “Did you see that picture of him standing in the yard? What did you think?”

Next she posted half a dozen more pictures on Facebook.

Today it’s her cat.

I’ve seen a lot of dogs and cats in my day, so unless a particular dog is performing surgery or a cat is piloting a rocket, two dozen pictures is about 23 pictures too many.

I don’t believe that I’ve ever forced anyone to see two dozen pictures of my actual children in one sitting.

Is there an office manual or an employee handbook that can be used to show the offending party that she may have violated internal policy? You could approach her, as a concern troll, and tell her that maybe she shouldn't do this. She could get into trouble and you wouldn't want her to get reprimanded or worse.

I've learned about "concern trollism" from DU.

In practice, my company has a somewhat relaxed attitude about it overall, but the letter of the law is that email is for business purposes only.
