Are you still wearing jeans?

I saw this British article saying Brits have decreed age 53 to be the limit for donning denim.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/bad-news-jeremy-clarkson-brits-9175615

Yeah, it's kind of silly and arbitrary but it does seem that as folks get older they tend to stray from jeans. Quite a few older fellows I know like the comfort of sweatpants, even if they aren't flattering.

I'm 43 and I have come to prefer khakis and cords to jeans. No sweatpants yet (my go-to workout wear would still be shorts).

I won't be 53 for a very long time but I will still wear jeans until I'm in my 90s. I can't stand wearing khakis. I only wear leggings or yoga pants to workout.

and I'm certainly over 53 years old.

As an aside, I have rediscovered the comfortable and durable bib overalls of my youth. I wear them when I work outside and when I'm repairing gear at the shop.

I'd walk away from them---but they're so damned comfortable. Part of the secret is finding the brand and style that feels the best---I determined years ago that Levi's just don't suit me. Wrangler boot-cuts? Now you're talking.....

And not as a compliment either. I suppose they're right. So what if I like sailor suits jeans at my age?

mostly I wear Dockers or cargo pants. I like the cargoes because I've come to appreciate not sitting on my wallet. I used to get bouts of sciatica that I finally traced to sitting on my wallet, it was always that side of my body. Especially bad in the car.

Anyway, I have a couple of pairs of jeans that I wear now and then.

I'm 63.

So does Mr. froggy and he's almost 74. When we have to dress up, we wear slacks, but then it's back to jeans again.

Here's me 'n' our poodle Ty on my 71st birthday. I was getting ready to pose for a bd picture, and he jumped into my arms. We love him so much!

Denim is more than a fashion statement.

And the one way to be sure to establish an American trend, is to tell people they can't do it.

fit in normal pants.

I need the extra strong stitches and rivets for work. The belt loops don't break and there is plenty of pocket space. Black, blue and tan denim, at least until I stop working.

Stopped wearing them during high school. Probably around 1972

Like you, i prefer regular men's slacks by a long shot.

I wear sweat plants for a while for playground basketball, but i quit doing that when i got to the age that it was a knee injury waiting to happen. Then i got MS, so i couldn't do it anyway.

Just never been that big a fan of jeans, but wore them to play baseball and football (and i mean neighborhood stuff).

Didn't even do the whole designer jean thing when it was the fashion
