Tweeting

Last edited Sun Dec 4, 2016, 07:18 PM - Edit history (1)

Sit back for a moment and consider it.

We used to have headlines that began, "President Declares...", "Governor Proclaims..." "Police Chief States...", etc.

Now they all tweet. Like birdies. Like little birdies.

Am I the only one who finds this reductive, demeaning, and just plain fucking silly???

Americans are becoming less literate by the generation. I don't know the answer. It probably boils down to laziness and lack of education/poor parenting.

I wish the heck I was in a cellar: People keep BOOZE in cellars! Nope, I don't have those connections. I was up for a cellar assignment, but I lost out to Dagon, who oh so coincidentally happens to be the husband of Satan's niece!

I'm tellin' ya, friend, it's ALL about politics, regardless of realm!

But hey, thanks for the welcome.

I am glad to be able to communicate with my daughters, adults with young children, via text messages; they are handy, and often provide a foundation for more detailed communication, but they are not letters or phone calls. None of us use twitter.
