(28,347 posts)We recently adopted an 8 week old kitty, Felix, to buddy up with our 2 year old, Charlie, who's been sad & lost since Isabel passed away this past summer.
Felix is fearless, adventuous, & wrestles with Rosie, our Jack Russel-like-beagle mix. He likes to hide inside the tree just like the one in the pic. I can just imagine the two last night teasing one another, and Felix trying to hide from Charlie inside 'his' tree'.
Funny thing, Rosie & Felix have become best friends, & defend each another when Charlie gets in his stalk & pouncing moods. Poor Charlie!
It's fun at my house!
Anyway, I bet they both ran like hell when Felix's tree came tumbling down! Hahaha!
Simba had a brother (Mouse) as big as he was--both over 20 lbs--and fortunately neither one of them ever tried to climb a tree.
I'm surprised the tree coming down didn't wake you up!

(35,660 posts)is that what they are? Never have seen anything like that.
And the little bird shaking off the sprinkles from a bath.
The squirrel eating the red berries.
And the last one: how endearing.
Thank you and Merry Christmas, SCE.

(70,090 posts)people keep telling me i need a goat. in fact, people try to give me goats. and actually, a lot of people in the city do keep them.
i have no interest in milking animals. i nursed 5 babies, that's enough milking for me. without milk, a goat on a farm is just a useless eater.
tho my bully dogs would love a goat for a brother.
but i think some of these little sheep would be cool. i could take up knitting again when my rocking chair days arrive.
not sure how much pickier they are than goats, but suspect they could handle the job of weedeater. i could rent them out.
and i suspect they taste better than goat, too.

(30,736 posts)for cute animals to wreck the tree. Then, they don't understand why we are upset. That is the price we pay for having pets. It's worth it.
Thanks, SCE.
