Winter safety warning

Friendly reminder: In case you've been putting it off, don't wait any longer. Now's the time to take your car to the garage and ask them to replace the summer air in the tires with winter air. You don't want to drive all winter on summer air. Don't hesitate.

If even one person who reads this goes into their shop and asks for this, my time will not have been wasted.

If all of us, or even a huge number of us, let the warm summer air out of our tires, it will heat up the atmosphere too much and melt even more of the poles.
while I realize this was good advice in the past, we simply cannot afford to do it now, in the ere of climate change.

They exchange it in the fall for cold air.

I switched over to an organic compound synthesized from goat urine.

Sure, it gets a little chunky in the winter but the last guy who tried to slash my tires got a nice surprise.

yes, we just took a 3-day to Nassau and had a great time. I was worried it would be too short - and it was - but still not too short to not be worth it. Great way to spend a long weekend.

I think I met the drummer for Manowar. (An older guy with long white hair saw me in the elevator and said "Hey, I like your shirt, where was that?" And I told him it was from last January's Florida Metal Fest and I turned around so he could read the band list on the back (Atheist, Obituary, Broken Hope, Corrosion of Conformity and a bunch of others) and I heard him telling his girlfriend/wife/companion "Yeah, I know those guys, and those guys and them too..." and on our way out of the elevator he leans in and says "Thanks, there's a bearded guy with us who is the drummer for Manowar"

and I saw them later with the bearded guy but I didn't want to bother them. But when I got home I looked up some recent pics of Manowar and I think maybe the guy who I talked to was really him - he was messing with me lol..

Now I'm just counting down to April 2018 - we booked an 8-day partial transit of the Panama Canal with stops in Costa Rica and Grand Cayman. I'm hoping I can sneak another long weekend in some time next year but at least I have that one to look forward to!

Happy sails to you and have a great time!

My best friend and I have been planning this trip all year. 10 days ago, one of his artificial hips went to shit and he has to go in for surgery. Three months recovery.
I know I'll still have a great time but it won't be the same without him.
So, I'm already looking into another trip in the spring. Western Carib maybe.

And therefore my mpg goes up a tiny fraction of a percent.
