Daily Holidays - January 23

National Pie Day Everybody loves pie, arguably one of the greatest and most versatile food structures known to mankind. Sweet, savoury, filled with gravy or sauce, pies come in all shapes, sizes and flavours. Why not celebrate this Pie Day by making a pie from scratch, using your favourite fillings? https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/pie-day/

National Handwriting Day When the hand-written letter, note or document is fast becoming a thing of the past, the art of elegant (or even legible) handwriting may well be under threat. Handwriting Day encourages you put pen to paper, and to practice your handwriting. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/handwriting-day/

Measure Your Feet Day Having a day dedicated to feet seems like a bizarre concept, but surprisingly, one does exist. Measure Your Feet Day is a holiday with a difference, and one where you have the opportunity to give your feet a little more attention! People rarely think about their feet, but they are a vital part of our everyday lives and require as much care as any other part of our bodies. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/measure-your-feet-day/

Handwriting is a lost art. I saw a program on PBS last night that showed at the actual letters from Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn. He hated letter writing, but the script and wording was beautiful! The letters are owned by the Vatican!
