The crew works for a private contractor we have a contract with to spell out what he agrees to do. Since this is not in the contract we know we have to pay something.
My car was covered in LOTS of snow yesterday, too much for me and my partially disabled husband to handle. In fact, he doesn't even leave the house when there is snow or ice.
Would $5 or $10 extra per worker do it?

If the workers did this on their own initiative, they probably weren't doing it for the money.
