Thank God I have the best medication available to cure this horrible condition.

These are great. They look fairly new.......at least I haven't seen them before.

(28,604 posts)I just changed my Facebook profile pic to a fractal today! I love these pics!
And I flunked first-grade coloring!*
(*But I could integrate transcendental functions with my age-group.....! not to mention any age group in Sni Mills High......)
Very impressive!! Would like to know more about how you do this! Is there a program that does it?

(15,676 posts)including some state of the art 3d stuff that I have yet to play with.
The ones I posted here were created by an older windoze program called Sterling Ware. I've also used Ultra Fractal, and also an old Photoshop plugin program called FraxPlorer. I've toyed with a few others over the years that I can no longer call to mind.
Fractals were literally impossible in the 60s. It wasn't until the 70s that Benoit Mandelbrot first put the math into an analog computer and discovered the fractal. It took the power of a computer to complete the millions of iterations necessary to create one. Now it's been proven scientifically that the entire universe and everything in it is fractal- even the human heartbeat is fractal.
As we used to say in the 60s, far out, man!
Do a google for fractal programs and you'll discover many downloadable programs to play with. Good luck, and have fun!
