For reasons I won't bore you with: I am currently in possession of the four jackets (replicas) worn for Sgt. Pepper's.
Tonight, we have symphony tickets for an all-British composers program.
I think it'd be totally fun for us to go dressed as a slightly more modern British composing team.
My husband is not totally on board.
What do you guys think?

We MUST celebrate the joy.

(35,176 posts)obviously not this one but I say, as a musician, that it would be interesting and fun. Why not? The audiences are getting, or staying, older and we need people of all ages to see that they can be fun as well as wonderful. We are doing Pops tonight, not my favorite type of concert but it is a good one filled with fun tricks and sound. Go for it. We may have to wear concert black but you can wear anything you want!
Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
